How RFID Waste Bin Tag participate in “Circular Economy Model”?

Due to the robust design and hybrid detection and communication options, RFID Waste Bin Tag,Anti-metal RFID Waste Container Transponder by INTELLHYDRO TECHNOLOGY is widely used and embraced by many commercial waste management companies and the municipal projects that they service.
Up to Standard IP67, the challenges of harsh and dirty environmental conditions are mastered in almost all working conditions by INTELLHYDRO TECHNOLOGY to the satisfaction of its users.

At 80% recycling rate of the total waste collected, Italy alone recycles almost twice as much waste as all European waste recycling combined. The average amount of waste that is recycled in European countries is approximately 37%. France, Germany and the UK (54%, 44%, and 43%, respectively) follows Italy’s lead when it comes to waste recycling.

Italy incorporates ‘The Circular Economy Model’, signed by the Italian Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Economic Development, as a successful framework for the Italian way of recycling. The Italian government intends to make this model a true advantage for the country and an example for Europe as a whole. How does it work?

According to the national legislation, waste is managed at the local level. Each municipality is responsible for the disposal of waste and entrusts its collection to selected waste management companies. The collection of waste can be done in two ways. The first is at the curb, or door-to-door collection where the garbage trucks pick up the garbage from the individual containers placed outside the “front doors” of residents. The second is the collection of waste deposited by households into a central depository.

While the households of a community have to pay an annual fee, which is relatively high and constant, for the disposal at a central storage area, the waste for door-to-door disposal can be charged individually by type and quantity. RFID tag (INTELLHYDRO Waste Bin tag) and RFID reader (INTELLHYDRO RFID Reader) is the tool used to ensure that billing for a household is accurate and traceable, using RFID (INTELLHYDRO Waste Bin tag) technology to identify and track waste packages.

Waste containers are marked with RFID transponders (INTELLHYDRO Waste Bin tag) and assigned to the appropriate household. These markers can be applied to reusable containers such as containers, barrels or buckets, as well as disposable containers such as sacks and bags.

The collection vehicles are equipped with a stationary RFID detection system and weighing devices. The waste containers are automatically identified to the household and their weight is measured and automatically recorded. The data is then sent to the central collection system of the waste disposal company and assigned to the household deposit account and detailed for their annual statement.

In areas that cannot be accessed by removal vehicles, disposal workers are equipped with mobile RFID detection devices (INTELLHYDRO RFID Reader) that connect via Bluetooth or WLAN to the system of the disposal vehicle. The data from the containers identified on the doorsteps are sent by the mobile device to the vehicle, which verifies that the household is registered with the corresponding waste disposal company, and sends a confirmation or error message to the disposal worker.

This distinguishes whether the container may be transported to the disposal vehicle. The containers transported by hand to the disposal vehicle are re-detected and weighed at the vehicle and the data is transmitted to the system.
